This stunning Canary diamond is a beautiful alternative to your ‘average’ diamond – the most expensive of all coloured diamonds is the Pink variety- nice one Heide Klum.

Brad Pitt co-designed this ring with Silvia Damiani.  He wanted the ring to be tactile and the stones to be set on different levels.  The overall shape is related to the concept of a heart and it is a symbol of eternity.  This sparkler is estimated at around $500,000.

With a name like Jennifer “love” Hewitt she really pulled through with this feminine sparkler…

How can you top Kate Middleton wearing the ring of “The Princess Diana” – a ring passed down through the family – the ultimate tribute.

Is Katherine Heigl bringing the pear shaped diamond back into fashion?? We are 75% convinced.

Elizabeth Taylor was the lucky owner of the “Krupp Diamond” named after the Krupp family of Germany.  The Krupp Diamond is a 33.19-carat (6.638 g) stone, brought from Sotheby’s on May 16, 1968, for $305,000, by Richard Burton.
On Dec 16, 2011, the diamond was sold at auction by Christie’s for 8.8 million dollars!!

As previously mentioned – Pink diamonds are the pricey alternative to ‘regular’ diamonds. Trust Mariah Carey to get spoilt! Although we must say tastefully done…

It’s not so much of a “Simple Life” for Nicole and Paris… This Ruby is a gorgeous way of bringing some colour to your union.

About Mathieu Salem

Mathieu Salem, Couturier & Stylist Mathieu was born into a family with history in Australian fashion and the arts. It was this nurturing base that led to his study of Fine Arts and Fashion in Australia and London. “Designing has been a lifelong passion of mine, beginning when I was a young boy, sitting watching my Mother and Aunts taking lengths of fabric and creating beautiful garments.” Since leaving studies in 1986, he has worked in all facets of the Fashion Industry. From actual clothing design and production, to overseeing the design and launch of retail outlets, his career has taken him around the world. In this time he has gained a wealth of experience in the old school techniques of draping, cutting, fit and fabric embellishment. His classic designs have seen his Australian client base extend in recent years to Europe and the Middle East, winning multiple Awards for Bridal, Evening, Race and Day wear along the way. “I believe Couture to be an art form… an expression of creativity that fires the emotions along the way from sketch to the finished garment. Whether one wants dramatic architectural forms that skim the body, lavish excesses of silk skirts or intricate hand detailing, it’s the excitement that only a couture garment can bring the wearer, that drives and satisfies me.” “I have always loved design, but the greatest pleasure it brings into my world, is that of the smile reflected in the mirror, when a client sees ‘her’ vision become a reality.” In 2006 Mathieu Salem opened his studio at 388 High Street, Prahran Victoria.
